Library Review 2021
Have your say
We know the library service is important to many residents across the district. On a regular basis we review the services we offer, and think about what changes we might need to make to improve what we currently offer, both in the short, medium and longer term.
We’re undertaking a review of the whole library service, including mobile libraries, our ‘At Home’ service and e-library, to regular activities for children and families, and annual events such as the Summer Reading Challenge, to see what we could change to make the service better.
Secondly, we’re looking to the future, and thinking about how we might need to develop the library service.
We’re talking to staff and volunteers in libraries, and across West Berkshire Council, along with representatives from community organisations, and through a number of groups, local residents who may have particular needs and requirements when it comes to using the library service. This will help us to get a full picture of how people currently use the library service, how it could be improved, and ideas for the future.
Why we want your views
We’d like to know about your experience using our services to find out what we’re doing well and what we could do better.
We’re also interested in hearing your ideas and suggestions about what you would like to see included in your library service for the future, so we can think about these when looking forwards and planning.
