Events Committee

Responsibilities of the Communications & Events Committee:

  • Consider events for the community facilitated, organised, and run by the Parish Council
  • Promote community events
  • Ensure that any forms of communication adopted adhere to data protection and GDPR regulations
  • Undertake consultation on behalf of the council to encourage community engagement and gather feedback

Environment &
Recreation Commitee

Responsibilities of the Environment & Recreation Committee:

  • Ensuring the administration, maintenance and development of the Play Areas and Open Spaces within the parish
  • Ensure all play areas are properly maintained with weekly, quarterly and annual safety checks
  • Any environmental or general maintenance identified within the parish is actioned

Committee

Responsibilities of the Facilities Committee:

  • Management of parish owned buildings and property
  • Management of the Allotment sites
  • Management, development and promotion of Council owned venues

Planning &
Highways Committee

Responsibilities of the Planning & Highways Committee:

  • Statutory advisory function for all planning applications in Burghfield
  • Consider consultations and correspondence regarding planning issues
  • Consulting with the District Council regarding planning issues and other issues, including infrastructure and environmental improvement schemes
  • Actively promote the needs of the Parish for CIL contributions and determine any future schemes

Audit Committee

Responsibilities of the Finance & Audit Committee:

  • Consideration of, and recommendations for, the annual Precept.
  • Audit, Health & Safety and Risk management
  • Staff sub-committee reviews & reports
